Where I would tell you to go, what i would suggest you do if you are here and interested in more than the beach
Yes, its a book store but the Cafe is great. Its a must visit if you are in the gables, tho he also has locations at the Arsht Center, on the Beach and a few others. Sitting on the Patio in the gables, enjoying a great sandwich, coffee and a really good dessert, surrounded by books and good people. I love it here.
Wynwood is our arts district. Every day more restaurants, shops, galleries and coffee houses open up. I wouldn’t go in the evening. but its lovely on a cool day to walk a bit in a unique neighborhood. And see the walls. graffiti artists have painted.
A fabulous building with questionable art inside. But go, sit outside, have a drink, it feel like Miami.

One of my Favorites. With an ever changing collection, this local collector of ‘modern’ art, photography, and whatever strikes his fancy, has opened the Warehouse for all to enjoy.
Down south in the Redlands, open sometimes, long lines on the weekends, totally yummy cinnamon buns and other good stuff
Smoothies, local produce, a taste of old south florida. In the Homestead area on your way to Flamingo in the Everglades. Ask for the story how Robert is Here got its name.

Wednesday nights you can see new and old films on the wall at the New World Center on Lincoln Road. As with the concert simulcast, come early bring your food and chair and drink ….
Sitting inside at a concert in the beautiful, acoustically magnificent concert hall is a wonderful experience. But sitting outside on the grass is almost as good.
With a state of the art speaker system 1000 people enjoy the sound, and with a six story wall where the concert is projected lets you see and hear the best of it. Come early, bring some chairs, a picnic, friends, a bottle of wine.
