One of the most well balanced Ceasar Salads I have ever had.
And here is the remnants of the lamb sandwich .
At the new SLS Brickell.
We enjoyed a really relaxing lunch. It was one of those menus where you really had no idea what you were ordering but the waitress explained each dish with gusto and the food was good, the place cheerful and we did get cloth napkins.

ELLA’S Oyster Bar
1615 SW 8th Street. Opening Night
Tonight I’m upgrading the blog, wish me luck. I’m going to try for photos in real time.
Here at Ella’s Everything was stupendous! Thats the best recommendation you are going to get from me.
Caffe Vialetto
Hands Down my favorite, even though they don’t have a dessert I love. For the first two years I came here I got the Papparadeli Short Ribs. I had tasted it and knew nothing could compare. Then one night I tried a piece of fish with risotto, then I tried the short rib, then another piece of fish. Now I don’t know what to order except of course the Duck Salad to start, unless I order the Ceasar, with a few anchovies. Beer and Wine only.
Cafe Pastis
In South Miami, besides eating at the cafe at Myras Salon this is the best meal in South Miami. And if you can snag an outdoor table on a cool day at the end of the lunch rush you can enjoy a delicious soup, salad, sandwich or combination of the three. and a lovely pot of chocolate for dessert.
Greek Islands Taverna
OMG!!! Was this worth the drive. I don’t know where else to get Greek food and I can’t imagine anything would be more mouth waveringly delicious.

Jack’s home cooking
This little house with its front porch on 2nd Ave caught our eye as we were heading to Wynwood to seek out dinner this past Monday night. And we are so glad it did. We sat at an adequately sized table for two with the dog at our feet.
I ordered the Short Rib and my companion had an Eggplant Parmigiana. They were both good tho far from the bet we have eaten. The dessert on the other hand was magnificent. I want to say that good food is often all i get expect when i head out to dinner.
This is a lovely cozy welcoming place and i would definitely come back
Ocio
Behind the miami airport, in an industrial neighborhood sits this charming Italian restaurant.
Decorated with care and a unique eye, even the menu looks original. And the food was fabulous. The service friendly and something about the place sets it apart.
Cafe Roval
A new and upscale Yummy place by the people who brought you soyka. Just a few doors down off Biscayne near 51st street. The loveliest back garden, the most interesting building, the yummiest grouper. I have nothing bad to say and I can not wait to go back.

El Chaman
Sometimes confused with el chalan ( https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g34438-d431951-Reviews-El_Chalan_Restaurant-Miami_Florida.html ) because they are both out bird road and both have good food but El Chaman which is out at about 143 ave is fine dining. Romantic, but not completely intimate you will get not only the best pisco sour intern but delicious high end peruvian food and a fantastic chocolate dessert.
