A FAVORITE

Every once in a while one stumbles upon a simple life changing thing or idea.  This is one of those.  I slipped the magnet in my phone case a few years back and now I can’t live with out it.  My phone is always in view, I hang it when I get in the car so I don’t leave home without it.  I do use the phone in the car more often than I should and I am a WAZE addict.  Mostly I ignore the waze advice and try to beat its estimate home.

Before The Fall

I couldn’t put it down. Not because of the mystery but because I loved the people and i loved the writing. The main character was a man which is unusual for me and I worried for him and just really needed to know what was going to happen with him. I hesitate to tell the story as I prefer to pick up a book that has been recommended and read it with no idea what its about. Interested in more, click the book and it will link you to amazon.

Fi’lia

One of the most well balanced Ceasar Salads I have ever had.
And here is the remnants of the lamb sandwich .
At the new SLS Brickell.
We enjoyed a really relaxing lunch. It was one of those menus where you really had no idea what you were ordering but the waitress explained each dish with gusto and the food was good, the place cheerful and we did get cloth napkins.

And Its all about the box.  The chocolate are very good and really beautiful, but you actually need to pay for that box.  The place has rules.  They will sell you a maximum of 2 chocolates at $2.50 apiece,  If you want more,  You  need to buy the box.  At Marie Belle the box is the “concept”.

Do the Math.. 4 chocolates at $2.50 each cost $10. But if you want to buy 4 Chocolate you will need to purchase a box of 4 for $20.

Needless to say this did not sit well with me and after speaking to the young manager who refused to give me his name, nor did he seem to know the words “I’m very sorry” , I  eventually walked out with a free $45 box of chocolates.    Don’t ask.  And yes, that would be $40 worth of chocolate and a $5 box!   I will go back, to try the hot chocolate.  I hear it is great… I may bring back my box and see what they do?  hehehehehe

OSLO

I have started wonderful visits to NYC.  Tonight I saw OSLO and I must say it was overwhelming.  I don’t think it will playing for long but if you can, make a special trip to see it .

I had never been to the Theater at Lincoln Center and I couldn’t have been more pleased.  Not only do you get to leave the theater and see the people and fountain, but with stadium seating there doesn’t appear to be a bad seat in the house.
