This is one of those places with delicious food, nice service, but i dread going because i don’t understand the menu. The outdoor patio overlooking Peacock Park is perfect for a nice night out.
I eat out, I go to the movies. and i read a lot. SO I’m keeping track and welcome you to browse. There is info on miami, on NY, pictures of my cats. Random thoughts add links. Just my stuff. I Hope you find it useful

http://miyakoofdadeland.com/contact/ At Dadeland Plaza on South Dixie. When my daughter came home as an infant I took my sone to dinner every Thursday night for mom/Sam time. His choice, our time. And every Thursday night we went t Miyako, sat at the bar, and ordered sushi. I hadn’t been back in years when a few weeks ago i met a friend there for dinner. It was as good as I remember.
Is it worth the drive to mile marker 100? i say yes. I would eat here every day it was in the neighborhood. Nothing fancy but exactly what dinner in the keys is supposed to be. good food, good feel, good desserts.

I have gone back and forth on DiNapoli for years. My first experience was bad, then years later I returned and it was fine. I have been twice in the past year and taken out twice, all good. So, for neighborhood Italian its a good choice. You have to choose it over Papa Piccolo ( http://papapiccolopizzeria.eat24hour.com ), Papa Riccos ( at 144 and US 1) and giros ( http://cirosonline.com ) which isn’t easy.
Sometimes confused with el chalan ( https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g34438-d431951-Reviews-El_Chalan_Restaurant-Miami_Florida.html ) because they are both out bird road and both have good food but El Chaman which is out at about 143 ave is fine dining. Romantic, but not completely intimate you will get not only the best pisco sour intern but delicious high end peruvian food and a fantastic chocolate dessert.
A traditional Ice Cream Parlor imitation. The sundaes are served in tall glass bowls, the ice cream is great and people love the patty melt too.

Mr Yum is one of these little sushi places that seems to have always existed. Out on 8th street i didn’t like Mr. yum the first few times i was there. Now, I’m ok with it. I think you just need to know how to order and not have high expectations.
at Merrick park has become a new favorite. Its so lovely to sit outside in a pretty though unnatural setting. The food is great and varied, the service usually good tho never great. . In my mind this is meant to be a relaxing place to waste away some time over good food with a good friend.
Everyone knows you can’t do everything, but I really want to have time some day to visit The Japan Society.
