in south miami and i won’t be going back. With a terribly limited menu and an aftertaste to most of the dishes that I found distasteful this overpriced chinese restaurant is not making it to the top 25. A limited menu, a pretty, well designed place which has so much potential fell flat.
I think its time to start saving lists.
Today June 28, 2017 The New York Times published a list of the top 25 movies of the 21st century. I can honestly say I don’t think I have seen one of them. I have heard of a few including Moonlight, and intended to see some of those. But this is a list filled with movies I had never heard of.
When I was about 7 we went to see a total eclipse. It was amazing. I’m just putting plans together to go see this one… Coming across the USA August 21st 2017
One way or another, we are going to have to start thinking about how to minimize the looming A.I.-fueled gap between the haves and the have-nots, both within and between nations. Or to put the matter more optimistically: A.I. is presenting us with an opportunity to rethink economic inequality on a global scale. These challenges are too far-ranging in their effects for any nation to isolate itself from the rest of the world.

And it only gets better.
When we pulled up I thought, looking at the neighborhood, that even I might not want to get out of the car. But this was wonderful. Perfect in every way. Cloth napkins, salt on the table, a huge wheel of Parmesian cheese with honey and bread – help yourself-.

Then desserts on display. Eclectic.. and I think thats the first time I ever used that word.

This is THE PLACE to try. Open just a month they have it all pulled together. Magnificent menu. We had a Ceasar salad – more than enough for two. Coq au vain, a burger, chocolate cake, a beer and an unusual cosmopolitan. I brought a brownie home!!!!

Beatriz at Dinner was … enjoyable. A bit predictable. Visually engrossing.
What happens when a novelist travels from Britain to Greece to teach a week-long summer course on writing? Not a whole hell of a lot. Fear not, there is a quite a lot packed in these pages. The narrator, Faye, is a very good listener and we are treated to all she takes in: from her neighbor, an older gentleman, on the plane; from fellow workers, friends, students in her class. All have interesting stories to tell.
Went tonight to see I, Daniel Blake at the Cosford at UM. I enjoyed the movie. It was a story, something I am more accustomed to reading about , as opposed to seeing on the screen. Slow, interesting, thought provoking. a sad tale, and yet also, after sone thought, a story that spoke to being true to ones self.
